Chambliss will be running ads from now until election day statewide. Martin on the other hand is in debt according to his FEC reports.

That's a pretty despicable ad by any standard. Chambliss is a.) exploiting a tragedy and b.) distorting the reality. Martin resigned. Under pressure, sure, but he was a Democrat in a brand new Republican administration, and they wanted him gone anyway. The public needed their pound of flesh, and the Perdue administration was only too happy to offer up Martin.
Of course, I'm sure Saxby will play this 24/7 and coast into Congress thanks to another low-blow advertisement. Politics today!
